About Us

Our Beginning – The Trading Days

In 2015, two close friends and now business partners, Praveen Pandey and Vishal Shah, co-founded Vastrangam. From a single workspace in Surat to a full-fledged design and manufacturing unit.

 

Our journey began in the heart of Surat, Gujarat, where we started trading sarees from various embroidery units and textile hubs. We collaborated with local artisans and embroidery houses, curating beautiful sarees and selling them on top e-commerce platforms like Flipkart, Amazon, and Snapdeal.

Through these early experiences, we learned the pulse of the fashion market — from customer preferences and quality expectations to the art of presentation and trust-building in online retail.

Learning the Craft – From Fabrics to Finishing

During this phase, we developed a deep understanding of the entire textile and apparel ecosystem.
We explored every detail — raw materials, fabrics, dyeing techniques, embroidery styles, printing processes, and fabric finishing methods.

From digital, foil, and block prints to the intricacies of embroidery and zardosi work, every day was a new chapter of learning. This knowledge became the foundation on which Vastrangam evolved from being a trader to becoming a manufacturer and creator.

Our Growth – From Sarees to a Full Fashion Line

Step by step, we transitioned into manufacturing our own line of garments.
Today, Vastrangam proudly designs and produces a complete range of Women’s Ethnic, Western, and Fusion wear, including Lehengas, Gowns, Dresses, Kurtis, Sarees, and more.

For men, we specialise in Ethnic and Wedding wear, offering Sherwanis, Indo-Westerns, Kurtas, and Custom Outfits tailored for every occasion.

Praveen Pandey

From the serene lands of Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, Praveen’s journey is one of passion, persistence, and purpose. After completing his MBA from Amity University, Lucknow, he stepped into the textile world with a vision to create a brand that blended style, comfort, and quality for every generation.

As the Head of Product Design & Manufacturing at Vastrangam, Praveen oversees every creative detail — from selecting premium fabrics to shaping trend-forward designs that bring out the best in every individual.

His commitment to sustainability, fine craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction continues to push Vastrangam toward new horizons.

Vishal Shah 

Born and raised in Surat, Gujarat, Vishal brings a perfect blend of business acumen and technical brilliance to Vastrangam. A Computer Science graduate from Sardar Patel University, he started his career with a strong grasp of technology and market dynamics — both of which later became key pillars in Vastrangam’s success story.

As the Head of Sales & Marketing, Vishal’s innovative strategies and customer-centric approach have played a vital role in building the brand’s strong digital and retail presence. His leadership has helped Vastrangam connect with thousands of customers across India and beyond.

At Vastrangam, every outfit is a creation of passion.
We manage the entire process from concept to creation —

Concept

when we receive a product requirement — whether it’s for a custom bridal lehenga, a festive collection, or a corporate uniform.
Our team carefully studies the design brief, fabric preferences, colour palette, embroidery style, and budget range. We also analyse the target audience and occasion to ensure every design aligns with the customer’s vision and purpose.

Design Development

Once the concept is clear, our design team begins sketching initial ideas.
We explore different silhouettes, surface embellishments, and embroidery patterns.
Each design is visualised using digital mockups or hand-drawn sketches, allowing the client to see how their idea will take shape.

During this phase, we also decide on the fabric base, colour tones, embroidery thread shades, and printing techniques — ensuring the perfect balance between aesthetic appeal and wearability.

Our expert karigars and embroidery artisans then bring the design to life with precision and artistry.
Whether it’s machine embroidery, handcrafted zardosi, or sequins and beadwork, every element is executed with utmost care.

We also handle all types of printing in-house, ensuring colour accuracy and consistency across every piece.

Product

Next comes stitching and assembly, handled by our in-house stitching masters who bring years of experience to each garment.
Once stitched, every outfit undergoes finishing touches — edging, lining, ironing, and ornament placement — to achieve a flawless final look.

Our Reach – From Local to Global

From our workshop in Surat, we are now proudly shipping across India and internationally to the USA, UK, Malaysia, Europe, and other Asian countries.
